Can aligners be delivered directly to a patient?

Can aligners be delivered directly to a patient?

Yes, as long as no in-clinic procedure is needed at that stage. Confirm with the treating clinician that no attachment bonding or IPR is due, then ask us to arrange direct dispatch.

Important: Check first that nothing clinical is due at this stage. Sending aligners direct when attachments or IPR are needed means the patient ends up wearing an aligner that cannot track.

What we need

We arrange dispatch straight to the patient's address. Give us the patient's mobile number as well, so the courier can send them delivery notifications.

What to have ready

Start a support request in the OneSmile Concierge chat and include:

  • Practice name
  • Treating clinician name
  • Patient name
  • Case number
  • Patient delivery address
  • Patient mobile number
  • Confirmation that no in-clinic procedure is due at this stage
