How do I register a new provider at my practice?

Every treating provider needs their own portal account before they can submit a case. Cases should never be submitted under a colleague's login, because the treating provider is recorded against the case and all planning communication routes to that account.

To register

  1. Ask your practice manager for the current provider registration link.
  2. Complete the registration form with the provider's full name, AHPRA registration number, email address and mobile number.
  3. Confirm which practice or practices the provider works from.

What happens next

  • A portal account is created at tp.one-smile.com.
  • A Dental Monitoring account is created and the standard OneSmile protocols are loaded into the provider's library.
  • Your practice manager will arrange an onboarding session.

Plan the timing

Allow several working days between registration and the provider's first case submission. Booking a new provider's first aligner consultation for the week they start is the most common cause of a rushed first case.

When a provider leaves

Tell your practice manager so their active cases can be reassigned and their Dental Monitoring patients transferred to whoever takes over. Patients left on a departed provider's DM account stop being supervised, and nothing in the system flags it.

Still need help

If this article did not resolve your question, your practice manager is your first point of contact for case and product support. For anything that needs a tracked outcome, start a chat with the OneSmile Concierge using the chat button on this page. Include the patient name, the case number and the current aligner number so it can be actioned without a follow-up question.
