Managing DM notifications at the final aligner

Managing DM notifications at the final aligner

DM sends a completion style message when the patient reaches their last aligner, which reads as though treatment is over. Prepare the patient before it arrives and book the de-band appointment early.

What to do

  1. Contact the patient when they reach the second to last aligner, before the message goes out.
  2. Tell them they will get an automated message about their final aligner, that it does not mean treatment is finished, and that the next step is their de-band appointment.
  3. Book the de-band appointment before or at the same time as you issue the final aligner.

After de-band

Let us know and we will switch the patient to DM Lite on the retention protocol. If you want the final aligner message reworded for your practice, we can ask Dental Monitoring to configure it.

What to have ready

Start a support request in the OneSmile Concierge chat and include:

  • Practice name
  • Patient name
  • Case number
  • Date of de-band
