Hot water, dishwashers and microwaves permanently deform aligners. The fix is prevention: set the cleaning rules at the start of treatment and repeat them at every aligner issue.
Important: Aligners should only be cleaned with the cleaning foam provided. Never hot or boiling water, dishwashers, microwaves or steam cleaners.
Check whether the next aligner in the sequence fits adequately. If it does, the patient can move on to it. If it does not, order a replacement.
