Setting DM labels for Smart STL staging patients

Every staged patient needs three labels in DM: your practice name, os staging, and the current stage. The aligner count field takes the total for the whole plan, not the 12 in the current stage.

Adding the labels

  1. Open the patient in the DM dashboard.
  2. Go to the Labels section for that patient.
  3. Add three labels: your practice name (for example FY Dental SYD), os staging, and stage 1.
  4. Update the stage label as the patient progresses, so stage 1 becomes stage 2 and so on.

Important: In the aligner count field, enter the total planned aligner count for the full treatment. If the plan is 36 aligners, enter 36, not 12. This is the most common setup error and it breaks tracking for the rest of the case.
