Every OneSmile patient gets the 10 year retention programme at no extra charge. DM Lite checks compliance every three months, and if a scan shows relapse beyond the accepted threshold we produce a free SmartSTL refinement.

Setting it up

After de-band, let us know and we will switch the patient to DM Lite on the retention protocol.

The patient protocol

• Wear OneSmile retainers nightly.
• Scan every three months using the DM app.
• Replace retainers every six months, at the scale and clean appointment.

Retainer options

0.8mm is the standard choice and feels closest to the aligner. 1.0mm is firmer and holds up better for patients who brux.

If a scan shows relapse

We provide a free SmartSTL refinement to bring the patient back to their final aligner position. Send us the DM scan data and the case number.

What to have ready
