What aligner number to enter in DM for staging patients

Enter the total planned aligner count for the whole treatment, not the 12 in the current stage. If the plan is 36 aligners, enter 36.

Setting it

  1. Check the approved treatment plan for the total number of aligners across all stages.
  2. Enter that total in the DM aligner count field.

Important: Entering 12 is the most common staging setup error. DM then treats aligner 12 as the end of treatment, and the SmartSTL assessments fire at the wrong points for the rest of the case.
